BJP Announces Key Morcha In-Charges as Nitin Nabin Reshapes National Team

BJP president Nitin Nabin announces key morcha in-charges, while Smriti Irani returns as national general secretary. The new organisational team focuses on booth-level strengthening, social media and election management.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the in-charges for its various organisational morchas, assigning separate leaders responsibility for the Yuva, Mahila, SC, OBC, Kisan, ST and Minority Morchas as the party moves its organisation into election mode.

Harish Dwivedi has been given charge of the Yuva Morcha, while Satish Poonia will oversee the ST Morcha. D. Purandeswari has been assigned responsibility for the Mahila Morcha. Sanjay Bhatia will be the in-charge of the SC Morcha, while Baijayant Panda will oversee the OBC Morcha. Lal Singh Arya has been given responsibility for the Kisan Morcha, and Gajendra Patel will handle the Minority Morcha.

These leaders will initially handle the respective morchas. They will assist in forming the morcha executive committees, deciding state in-charges and preparing teams for the morchas across the states. All morcha in-charges have been directed to begin the process in consultation with the respective morcha presidents.

The leaders will continue to oversee their respective morchas until permanent in-charges are appointed.

BJP president Nitin Nabin has prepared a new national team to put the organisation into election mode. After announcing the national executive and assigning leadership of the major morchas, the party has now announced the in-charges, co-in-charges and other key office-bearers. The new team reflects a balance between experienced leaders and younger faces.

The party had earlier announced the names of the national presidents of its key organisational morchas. Gujarat Lok Sabha MP Dr Hemang Joshi has been given charge of the Yuva Morcha. Senior Chhattisgarh leader Roop Kumari Choudhary has been appointed to lead the Mahila Morcha.

Madhya Pradesh Rajya Sabha MP and former Kisan Morcha leader Bansilal Gurjar has been given charge of the Kisan Morcha. Amar Pal Maurya has been appointed to head the OBC Morcha. Shivesh Kumar Ram will be the national president of the Scheduled Caste Morcha, Mannalal Rawat will head the ST Morcha, and Kunwar Basit Ali will be the national president of the Minority Morcha.

Smriti Irani returns to organisation

The new team also marks the return of former Union minister Smriti Irani to the organisation, with her being given the responsibility of national general secretary. Vinod Tawde has been appointed national general secretary and also given charge of Uttar Pradesh. Sunil Bansal has been retained as national general secretary.

B. L. Santosh continues as national general secretary (organisation). Tarun Chugh has been made in-charge of the BJP central office, while Sandeep Pathak has been appointed national secretary and Sambit Patra has been given responsibility for North-East coordination.

The BJP's new organisational team also places a strong focus on social media and election management. Changes have been made in the party's social media organisation. With upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in view, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Punjab have received particular attention.

Through the new team, the BJP is moving towards strengthening its organisation at the booth level, activating workers and accelerating its election preparations.
